the team experience

(To: My Coaches) What If You Didn’t Have to Coach Effort or Accountability?

Most teams don’t struggle with talent—they struggle because too many athletes wait to be told what to do and don’t embody the standards required to be great. Our 3-part workshop series builds athletes who take ownership, handle feedback, and compete at the level you need.

Your players work hard. They want to succeed. But talent alone isn’t enough. What holds teams back isn’t skill—it’s  mentality.

challenges your team might be facing:

They second-guess instead of trusting their training.

They need confidence, resilience, and coachability—but don’t know how to build it.

They resist feedback instead of applying it.

They crumble when things get hard instead of stepping up.

"Working with Annette has been terrific for our team! Her experience, approach, and communication style has strongly resonated with our athletes."

- Zach Moss,
Northwestern Fencing Head Coach

You’ve Seen This Before

Afraid to Stand Out

They have the talent but hold back to fit in. Worried about being called a “try-hard,” they lower their standards and play small.

Resistance to Coaching

Your players say they want to improve, but when you push them, they get defensive, check out, or shut down.

Inconsistent under pressure

One game, they’re locked in. The next, they disappear. Their performance swings with their confidence, and you can’t rely on them when it matters most.

so let me introduce:

A workshop series for Confident, Coachable Athletes

Over the course of three sessions, we work with your players to create an environment that gets them to reflect, move, and lead. They’ll examine how they show up for their team, break through the habits that hold them back, and learn how to compete with confidence—no matter the playing field.

Each session is built to challenge them in a different way:

EVERY WORKSHOP INCLUDES A DISCUSSION, A YOGA SESSION, AND A GROUP ACTIVITY TO BRING IT ALL TOGETHER

THIS IS OUR SIGNATURE SERIES:

01

The "i" in team

Players can’t own their growth if they don’t know why it matters. In this session, athletes reflect on their identity, their strengths, and what it means to own their own development - so that this season finally reflects not only who they truly are, but who they aspire to become.

02

next-level confidence

Confidence isn’t given—it’s earned. In this session, athletes learn what it takes to become a Player Coach—the kind of athlete who leads, masters feedback, and builds a strong support system. The result? They step on the field unshaken, unbothered, and ready to compete.

03

learning to play free

The missing link in performance? Peace. Yoga isn’t just stretching—it’s a system for handling pressure, protecting your energy, and showing up fully present. In this session, athletes learn how to train their body and mind so they can stop overthinking, trust themselves, and play free.

NORTHWESTERN WOMEN'S FENCING

Northwestern Fencing wanted to give their athletes more than just physical training

—they wanted to strengthen their confidence, resilience, and ability to handle pressure.

Through our three-workshop series, fencers learned how to own their development, embrace feedback, and show up with a mindset built for competition. The team also saw PCA as an opportunity to provide athletes with an outlet beyond fencing—helping them navigate challenges, reset after setbacks, and compete with trust in themselves.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

How does this fit into our team’s schedule?

All three workshops are completed within a one-month time block, so athletes stay engaged and see results fast. Sessions are scheduled around your team’s needs to maximize impact without disrupting training.

What’s the time commitment?

Each workshop is 2 hours and includes:
✔️ A talk on performance and ownership
✔️ A team activity to reinforce key concepts
✔️ A yoga session for recovery and mindfulness

The PCA program requires a weekly commitment of 2-3 hours, where selected athletes get small-group coaching, mentorship, and exercises to develop confidence, leadership, and mental resilience. (optional)

It all starts with a consultation call to talk about your team’s needs. If it’s a fit, we schedule the workshops and get to work.

How is this different from what our sports psychologist does?

What’s the first step?

This isn’t therapy or sports psychology—it’s applied performance coaching. Athletes get actionable strategies to handle pressure, take feedback, and compete with confidence.
