I used to struggle with that too, until I discovered that my beliefs were malleable, and that it wasn't my skillset that needed work, but my mindset. That if I could find ways to build my confidence, everything else would fall into place.
Introducing the GUNAS...
The Gunas represent the various types of energy present in all things. Rajas (high energy), Tamas (grounded, slower-paced), Sattva (blissful state). When you balance Rajas and Tamas you arrive at Sattva (peace). The same is true of your mindset.

Rajas
We channel your anxiety and your nervous energy and turn it into fuel by building up your confidence and reminding you of who you are!
Tamas
Now it's time to come back to your focus. Never too high, never too low. Take a deep breath and lock in on what it's going to take to execute.
Sattva
It's game time. Visualize. Breathe. Be. This is where you begin to trust your training and let go of the outcomes. You lock in and and let go. It's time.
I never understood why we always felt so ready for games and it was because our coach balanced our gunas.

"meditation made me a "goldfish" on the field and that's when I led the country in tackles.
It allowed me stop thinking in real time. Once I let go and completely detached, I could access the flow state. And as a person, it just made me so much more connected to people because you really learn to be where your feet are. that's what it did for me as a person.

MEET the voice behind your meditations
When I learned that mediation wasn't about feeling good, but about learning how to be with what is, something changed in me. I realized that it's hard for everyone, at first. And that if I can sit through the discomfort I can access another level of consciousness that would allow me to show up better, more resilient, more at peace.
Meditation is a tool I share with athletes every chance I get, because I know it can be the catalyst to unlocking your flow state to making the game FUN again!
